headless mode translated by Chinese word, actually it called intelligent orientation control (IOC)
Anyone who has played a drone had such experience: you wanna fly your drone to left but it goes to right.
Why? Every drone has a front and a rear.
When you are facing your drone rear, the transmitter and your drone front are in the same direction.
When you pull the transmitter stick to left, your drone will go to left.
But when your drone turns around and its front is facing you, the transmitter and your drone front are in the opposite direction.
That`s to say, when you pull the transmitter stick to left, your drone will go to right.
And sometimes it`s hard to tell between the front and the rear.
To solve this problem, many drone manufacturers design different-color propellers for their drones, such as, white
propellers for the front and black for the rear.
Some even have different-color LED to help players tell front from rear.
However, as your drone is a certain distance away from you, it is virtually difficult to tell between the colors, which again
poses the problem of orientation.
Headless mode is a good way that allows you not to worry about orientation altogether, since there is no difference between front and rear for a headless drone.
